Background

Los Angeles Performance Practice is devoted to the production and presentation of contemporary performance by artists whose work advances multi-disciplinary artistic practices. Our mission is to support a diverse constellation of artists and audiences through the active creation and presentation of groundbreaking experiences that use innovative approaches to collaboration, technology and social engagement. Our highest-profile ongoing program is our annual LAX Festival for contemporary dance & theater.   We carefully consider issues of diversity, equity, and representation in all of our hiring. We work to uplift the global majority, and to ensure that less than 50% of our team members are white. Current staff leadership, none of whom are men, is 33% POC. Our board is also currently 33% non-white. It is critically important to us that our team reflects the diverse community we serve, and we are actively seeking to remedy this in the areas where we are currently falling short.
