Description

The Events Production intern will work alongside seasoned technicians in various event spaces throughout the Skirball campus, to provide audio, video, and lighting support as each unique event requires. Primary duties will be to support for our outdoor annual Sunset Concert series and public programming events including book talks, performance productions, and other campus-wide corporate events.  The Events Production internship provides an outstanding opportunity to participate in the planning, and execution of live cultural, educational, and corporate events of all types. Allowing for a broad view of the live event audio-visual field, and the many elements that make up this fast-paced, and rewarding type of production. This will be a hands-on role and some medium to heavy lifting of equipment and gear will be required. This position will work approximately 10-20 hours a week from August 1, 2022 – March 15th, 2023 for a total of 400 hours.

Qualifications

An interest in and willingness to learn about all technical aspects of live event production. A basic understanding of audio-visual gear, and its uses. Students studying event, theatre, music or film production, or have experience working with bands or live events would be preferred, but not required.  A flexible schedule throughout the summer and school-year to accommodate a calendar of events that vary by both day, and time of day. Flexibility toward Fall/Spring class schedules will be accommodated.
