The Internal Events and External Rental Events Intern will work closely with both the Development Assistant and the Director of Special Projects to facilitate successful events at The Wallis. The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts holds several annual events for donors, including an annual gala, events for our affinity group the Wallis Ambassadors, an annual leadership dinner, and a variety of receptions, luncheons and salons throughout the artistic season. Additionally, the Wallis offers eight venues for rental to external companies. Past external rental events have included Vanity Fair’s Oscars Party, Style Magazine’s launch party, screening parties for a variety of organizations, and many more. The Internal Events and External Rental Events intern will assist with facilitating events across the spectrum of scale, and learn many valuable event production skills. This position will work 30-40 hours/wk June-September, but some flexibility may be possible.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite Creative – some design experience is a plus Detail-oriented Some live production experience is a plus; many events include an element of live performance Strong written and verbal communication skills
