The Education Intern will have the opportunity to be fully integrated in the Education and Community Partnerships Department of one of the nation’s largest theatre companies. The intern will work with the Department Manager to support the development and implementation of summer career readiness programming and summer alumni engagement. The intern will focus on learning about event planning, day-of event coordination, and developing marketing strategies with program managers. They will also assist in strategizing and designing a suite of workforce development programs for the 2022/23 season, including but not limited to the CTG Leadership Circle, Internships, Apprenticeships, Observerships, and Career Fairs. They will gain experience in marketing research, budget planning and tracking, program evaluation, and best practices for community engagement rooted in anti-racism, equity, diversity, and inclusion, while working within one of the nation’s largest nonprofit theatre companies. This position will work 40 hours a week from June to August 2022.

Qualifications

Ideal applicants would have interest in career development for emerging artists and arts professionals and/or arts education, strong writing skills, and a commitment to anti-racism, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Interest in learning best practices for arts education program design and implementation is preferred. Note that the intern will not be teaching; experience in this area is not necessary.
