The Operations and Special Projects Intern will play an important role in the administration of our organization. The intern will work closely with the Director of Strategy and Operations to support planning and plan implementation: developing and supporting our team of board, staff and artist, youth and community partners and developing and stewarding our resources. The intern will be responsible for preparing reports and presentations for collaborators and partners including LA Commons’ staff, board, fiscal sponsor and funders. This position will work approximately 25 hours a week from June through September.
Strong written and verbal communication skills A proficiency and/or experience with Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office. A strong sense of professionalism and collaborative capabilities The ability to take initiative Strong organizational skills Strong research skills An interest in community arts and culture as a strategy for community development An attention to detail, deep curiosity and drive to communicate complex information clearly and effectively Familiarity with database and project management systems, Quickbooks (or other accounting or bookkeeping systems), Adobe Suite (or other design systems) a plus, but not required. Graphic design ability is a plus, but not required.
