The Program and Operations Intern will work with the Education Through Music-Los Angeles program and operations staff to facilitate the processing and management of program evaluation data. The intern will assist in developing and maintaining the Resource Center, as well as assembling curriculum and lesson planning materials for ETM-LA teaching artists and music educators. Additional tasks include organizing concerts for the winter season, developing curriculum and lesson planning materials for teaching artists and music educators, and providing project management and administrative support as needed. This internship will work approximatley 40 hours per week from July to September.
The intern should display an earnest interest in arts education and must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable. Interest in learning about database creation and management as well as other software is favorable for this position. Basic computer skills, such as Excel and Word, will be necessary for program evaluation work. A positive attitude, motivation and desire to learn about music education in Los Angeles are also a must.
