The intern will learn archival and curation procedures for dublab.com, a long-running online radio station. The intern will then act as an archivist/curator for a ten-week period, with duties including audio editing, archiving, cataloging, and description writing. Additional tasks include, grant-writing assistance, and social media maintenance. This position will work approximately 30-40 hours a week from June through September.
- A good grasp of basic html and web editing, in particular familiarity with WordPress. - Basic understanding of audio equipment, and audio editing software. - Interest and knowledge in music. Doesn’t need to be extensive, but have a grasp on current trends and past history of alternative, electronic, and experimental music. - Good writing skills - Basic understanding of social media and online music journalism.
