The Advancement Department advances the chorale’s artistic, educational, and community programs through fundraising, partnerships, and coalition-building, policy work, and civic engagement. The Advancement Intern will provide coordination, clerical, and creative support to a team of four. Duties will focus on the areas of event planning, working with artists, individual giving, grants and executive leadership. The intern will coordinate with the production, education, and marketing teams. The position offers a breadth of exposure and experience to allow the intern to build their skills, clarify their career goals, and develop meaningful connections in the arts field. The internship is for 400 hours; interns will be offered a flexible and responsive schedule ranging from 15 to 35 hours per week between July and February, ending at the completion of 400 work hours. Position may be remote, depending on public health mandates related to Covid. This internship is paid hourly.
The ideal candidate will be responsible, organized, detail-oriented and have good communication skills. They must have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with databases a plus. Interest in the arts and a potential arts career would be very helpful.
