The Development and Communications Associate will report to the Executive Director and work with various departments in the organization to support the organization's marketing and fundraising goals. The Development and Communications Intern will also work closely with the Development Manager to ensure that marketing and promotion of the organization's activities align with production timelines, exhibition content, or event marketing. This position will work approximately 15-20 hours a week from June 2022 to December 2022.
Major Duties and Responsibilities Maintaining the organization's social media calendars Post on various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Analyze analytics to gauge the success of campaigns Monitoring the organization’s main contact channels (emails) and social media platforms, engaging with audience members & responding to inquiries Assist with entering data into the donor database. Assist the development staff in connecting with event audiences Assist with mailings, filing, and special projects, as needed Desired Skills Excellent knowledge of social media platforms. Creative mindset. Ability to multitask. Ability to work in a team. Interest in growing within the nonprofit sector Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Graphic Design skills, preferred Clear written and oral communication abilities Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
