Santa Monica Repertory Theater is seeking a Social Media/Community Engagement Intern with an interest in learning how theater meaningfully engages with the community through social media while marketing the theater’s programming. This position will work approximately 20 hours a week from September through February.
Ideal candidate is adept at social media platforms with an understanding of how to apply data to further reach and impact. Students should have exemplary communication and writing skills. They should be comfortable collaborating and speaking to people of diverse backgrounds and experiences. Skilled in graphic design and graphic design software a plus.
Founded in 2010, Santa Monica Repertory Theater has produced over 50 play readings, productions, and special events. We are an ensemble driven company and community is at the heart of our work: SMRT has served thousands of community members through our free Staged Readings, SHINE and SHINEOnline Storytelling Shows, and educational programming.
