The Development and Marketing Intern will support the planning and implementation of Practice-a-thon, a schoolwide challenge to practice and raise funds for scholarships. This event is aimed at fostering deeper engagement among students and families, while raising awareness of fundraising needs for financial aid. The Development and Marketing Intern will additionally support efforts to expand PCM’s digital content and online presence, specifically focusing on summer programs and fall registration communications. This includes assisting in gathering data, images, and testimonials from program participants and families, as well as generating marketing collateral, creating blog posts, and posting across various digital platforms. This position will work 20 hours per week and is an in-person internship with the option to occasionally work remotely from July through December
The Development and Marketing Intern should have strong writing skills and should be comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Applicants should also be comfortable creating digital content; some knowledge of graphic design is a plus. The ideal candidate has a passion for the performing arts, with an interest in music education a plus. Intern should be self-motivated and comfortable working individually and in a team environment. They will work well in highly collaborative settings. Administrative experience with corporate email and computer skills is preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, Google Suite, Zoom and other virtual formats; familiarity with Photoshop and InDesign is a plus.
