The intern for membership development and outreach will work approximately 15 hours a week from June through November. Depending on LA County Covid restrictions, if any, the intern will be expected to work the majority of those hours on-site, at the Ruskin Art Club offices, in Highland Park (Los Angeles 90042). Some of the work will be also be conducted remotely and by Zoom.
1. Basic computer skills required. 2. Basic familiarity with social media. 3. Facility with Squarespace and website posting a plus. 4. Communication skills and ability to work with others a must.
The Ruskin Art Club, founded in Los Angeles in 1888, is the oldest arts association in the city. In a unique way, it blends Southern California history with the expansive vision of British art and social critic John Ruskin to create, through its annual season of lectures and exhibitions, a wide-ranging dialogue with audiences coast to coast about the unity of art, life, and nature, and about the power of the arts to change our world.
