The Company Management Intern will support Theatricum’s key leadership in managing the business aspects of this active non-profit. They will be trained on all systems and software critical to the running of any non-profit and gain hands-on experience in the highest level of managing a diverse collection of actors and stage managers, technicians, craftspeople, teaching artists, staff, and more. This is a unique and extremely valuable opportunity for anyone with an eye to a future in arts management or the desire to run their own non-profit! The intern will be available for day, evening, weekday, and weekend hours of 30-40 hrs/wk from June to August.
Theatricum’s Company Management Intern will have a fervor for the arts and enjoy the outdoors. The ideal candidate will have facility with basic computer software: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. and be extremely comfortable with computation and processing of quantitative data. Candidate must have a vehicle, driver’s license, and up to date insurance. The internship will provide a unique opportunity to engage with the most critical business components of a diverse organization. Candidate must be extremely professional, responsible, and trustworthy. A successful intern at Theatricum is self-motivated, a self-starter, and dedicated with an extremely high work ethic. Follow-through and efficiency are critical as is the ability to focus amidst a great deal of activity. Theatricum’s energetic, communal work environment should be an asset rather than a distraction.
Will Geer's Theatricum Botanicum is a professional repertory theatre company presenting classic, American and original works on its 299-seat Main Stage and 88-seat S. Mark Taper Pavilion. Nestled outdoors in Topanga Canyon, Theatricum produces a 6-month Repertory Season, 16-week Family Fundays series and other special performances in summer/fall along with education programs for all ages through its private Academy of the Classics and School Programs, and Professional Acting Internship and Apprentice Programs.
