Arts for LA’s Student Organizing Intern will support the planning, execution, and maintenance of Arts for LA’s Student Advocacy Group. This position will work approximately 15 hours per week from July through January. This position is ideal for individuals excited to work alongside high school, college, and community college student leaders, interested in learning more about advocacy and community organizing tactics, and passionate about the movement for equitable arts education. 

Qualifications

This internship is an opportunity for a student to learn while working at a non-profit organization supporting the arts and culture field of Los Angeles County.   The position is ideal for someone who has experience with or is excited to learn more about:  - Public speaking and facilitating meetings - Community organizing and advocacy - Working with Google Workspace and Gmail  - Working with a team of up to 6 individuals  - Working independently on tasks and meeting deadlines - Mobilizing high school activists and other youth leaders - Website management - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Attention to detail - Sense of humor!   Please note this is a list of ideal qualifications - if an interested applicant does not have one or more of these skills, they are still encouraged to apply.
