The Advancement Intern will have the opportunity to be fully integrated in the Institutional Advancement Department of one of the nation’s largest nonprofit theatre companies. The intern will work with the Grants Manager and the full team to support the creation of 2021/22 season donor stewardship reports for Education & Community Partnerships and CTG’s overall season programming. The intern will focus on learning about crafting the language and content of reports, conducting grant and donor research, and donor stewardship strategies. In order to receive a well-rounded advancement and development experience, the intern will also spend time shadowing each team within the Institutional Advancement Department: foundation and government grants, corporate relations, advancement operations, special events, and major/individual giving. This position will work 40 hours a week from June to August 2022.
Applicants should have strong written and verbal communication skills. Applicants must have experience with Microsoft Office and possess excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects. Applicants should have a professional and friendly office demeanor and must be comfortable working with the public. A commitment to anti-racism, equity, diversity, and inclusion is a must. Knowledge of and interest in the arts is a plus. Evening or weekend hours may be required for possible special event coverage.
