Arts education is more than an arts issue or an education issue - it is also an economic and community wellness issue. Young people who receive a well-rounded education that includes the arts are given the tools they need to achieve their full potential, and strengthen their communities. The LA County Board of Supervisors has called for an updated regional plan for arts education that reflects the current priorities and educational landscape of LA County, and addresses both in-school and out-of-school learning opportunities
All youth, parents, artists, and community members - as well as representatives from schools, arts organizations, local businesses, creative industries, workforce development, social services and local government - are invited to a conversation to envision how together we can create and support thriving children, healthy families, and stronger communities through the arts.
This free event will involve interactive conversations and arts experiences, and is open to ALL Los Angeles County residents. A continental breakfast will be served.
Make sure your community is represented.
Can't attend? Community Forums are being held across LA County in May and June. Find another date and location.
