The Production Intern will work closely with East West Players staff and theatrical artisans and craftsmen to see to the operations of the theatre during the 56th Anniversary Season. Through this internship, they will work on productions and special events produced internally. The intern will gain a thorough introduction to the inner workings of a mid-sized theatre organization while learning specific skills in production, technical theatre, event management and logistics. They will work 37.5 hours per week from June through August 2022.

Qualifications

Applicants must feel a connection to the impact of EWP and have a desire to support the mission & work of EWP; interest in and knowledge of API issues and/or issues of diversity, equity, access and inclusion in performing arts is a plus. The ideal candidate will have experience in technical theatre, design, event planning/management, ability to multitask and adaptable in a fast-paced environment. Must be proficient in internet-research & MS Office. Applicants with any experience in Stage Management, Carpentry & rigging, Theatrical lighting, or Audio Visual technologies are a plus. Working knowledge of vectorworks, AutoCAD, Lightwright, Qlab, ETC Ion/Eos or other industry standard computer aided drafting and show management software is desirable.
