Greenway's Marketing and Community Engagement Intern will work closely with Natalie Iturbe Jackson, Greenway's Marketing & Special Events Manager, as well as with Whitney Weston, Co-Artistic Director, on a variety of marketing projects for Greenway Arts Alliance and the Melrose Trading Post. A second LACAC Intern will be working with our theater, and they will work in collaboration with this Intern on projects during the week as Greenway gears up for our 25th anniversary in October. This internship will include opportunities to learn about merchandising, customer service, fundraising and marketing. The intern will support MTP’s e-commerce and in-person shop. During the week, the primary focus is on the online shop’s fulfillment and marketing tasks. Previous experience with Google Drive, Adobe Suite, Inventory Management and Customer Service are all a plus. We will design and launch the in-person pop-up shop for MTP’s merchandise to be at the market every Sunday. The next focus is to promote both shops, working on content for our website and our marketing campaigns with our team. This includes creating blog, youtube, instagram, tiktok and facebook content with the Social Media Associate who manages the accounts.
This position will work approximately 15-20 hours a week from June through December. Most Sundays are required.
The Marketing and Community Engagement Intern will possess strong written and oral communication skills and should be comfortable with working with a diversity of people. They are self-motivated and flexible in performing a myriad of tasks. They should have a desire to learn the basics of Marketing and Community Engagement. The intern should be fluent with computers (PC/Mac), Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Internet Research and online social networking. Adobe Software knowledge, graphic design & video editing skills, and prior marketing, event organizing & promotion experience is a plus.
