With generous support from the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture, the International Documentary Association (IDA) is excited to offer eligible undergraduate students the opportunity to participate in a paid summer internship. The IDA Documentary Awards Intern will work under the supervision of IDA staff to help make one of IDA's signature programs--the annual IDA Documentary Awards--a success. From June 2022 to February 2023, the Intern will work approximately 15-20 hours per week and have opportunities to learn how to organize and deliver an annual arts-focused event, including all aspects of arts project management, communication with internal and external stakeholders, and outreach, marketing and promotion.
-Facility with Google Chrome/Drive, MS Word, and MS Excel -Ability to correspond professionally by phone and email, in a courteous and competent manner -A hunger for learning and ease with learning new software -Experience with Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, and HTML a plus -Interest in documentary filmmaking, including as producer or director; and/or interest in marketing and publicity for documentary films a plus
