Description

With generous support from the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture, the International Documentary Association (IDA) is excited to offer eligible undergraduate students the opportunity to participate in a paid summer internship. From June through September, the Documentary magazine Intern will work approximately 30-40 hours per week under the supervision of IDA editorial staff to undertake research, analysis and writing that will support a thriving national documentary community. The Intern will have opportunities to learn about DA, understand the essential elements of producing a leading arts publication, and understand the national documentary landscape as well as some of the issues that are most important to filmmakers.

Qualifications

- Facility with Google Chrome applications, MS Word and MS Excel - Strong research, writing, and verbal communication skills - Understanding of databases and content management software - Interest in documentary film/nonfiction media and/or arts criticism and commentary
