Description

The Program Intern will serve as a leader and coordinator of the Neighborhood Music School's special summer programs, workshops, events, and field trips. During the internship, the intern will work closely with the Executive Director, Program Staff, Registrar, NMS Teaching Artists, students, and families to implement these activities. The intern will also develop marketing materials for these programs. This position will work approximately 3 to 5 days per week and 16 to 18 hours per week from early June 2022 and to mid November 2022. Work hours will occur between 10am and 8pm, Monday through Saturday. Internship schedule will be finalized based on intern’s availability within the daily/weekly timeframe. Since the internship extends beyond summer, we understand the need to be flexible and supportive of students who may be in school during this timeframe. 

Qualifications

• Bi-lingual (Spanish and English) is a plus. • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and social media (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) is a plus. • Outgoing disposition and strong communication skills are a plus.
