Working under the marketing manager and the Musical Theatre West social media team, the social media/online marketing intern would be responsible for assisting in the creation of content and analysis of the ROI and reach from said social media posts. Strong artistic sense, graphic design sensibility, excellent writing, storytelling and communication skills are necessary for the position, as well as a good working knowledge of musical theatre canon. This position will work approximately 20-30 hours a week from June through October.
Candidates should be: • Self-starters, able to work independently. • Self-motivated, possess good organizational and interpersonal skills, be detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines. And the ability to work well and collaboratively with a fast-paced, high-performing team. • Candidate should have an interest in social media & marketing management for a musical theatre company. • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. • Candiates must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Canva, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, and Facebook Creator Studio. And must possess strong artistic sense, graphic design sensibility, excellent storytelling and communication skills, and good working knowledge of musical theatre canon. • Enrollment in a marketing management or theater arts program preferred. • Students must have a valid driver’s license and be able to legally work in the USA. • Interns will occasionally be asked to work nights and weekends.
