Flogging Seagulls is a unique Los Angeles band that taps into the Irish rock energy of Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys to perform New Wave synth songs of the '80s. Instead of synthesizers and drum machines, this group of professional Irish-Celtic musicians utilizes traditional instruments like mandolin, banjo, fiddle, and accordion, along with a dance-rock rhythm section, to cover dozens of artists from the classic KROQ era: Eurythmics; Depeche Mode; The Cure; The Smiths; Billy Idol; Duran Duran; Flock of Seagulls; The Clash; The Ramones; Devo; The Police, Psychedelic Furs; and more! As the band likes to say: “Shamrock of the '80s!”
