About
The Harana Men’s Chorus (HMC) performs an entertaining mix of love-themed classic and pop songs, inspired by the traditional Filipino courtship moonlight serenade, the harana. HMC takes these traditional ballads and combines them with OPM (Original Pilipino Music), American doo-wop and Top 40 songs, often accompanied by a piano or sung a cappella. Popular with weddings, HMC also performs sacred choral works and classical pieces. The majority of their repertoire is custom-arranged, which creates their own distinct style and sound.
