Description

The Community Engagement and Marketing Intern will receive hands-on experience in developing and implementing community engagement and marketing strategies. The intern will focus on creating a community-asset map and developing promotional strategies to engage college/university students and early career professionals. The intern will also develop a social-media content calendar and implement the plan.   This is a part-time internship from August to December 2022 for approximately 20 hours per week including some weekends and evenings.  

Qualifications

Theatre West welcomes and encourages applicants from all academic backgrounds. The ideal applicant will have an appreciation for live theatre with an interest in community engagement and marketing.  They should be pro-active, organized, resourceful, and feel comfortable generating and sharing ideas for continual improvement.  Knowledge of MS Office Suite of Applications including Word and Excel.  Strong research skills, writing ability, and comfortable using social media platforms are key.

Established in 1962, Theatre West is an internationally acclaimed theatre company and a dues-paying company of members which includes actors, writers, directors, technicians, and other professional artists. We produce a season of plays, conduct professional Acting, Shakespeare, Musical Theatre, and Writer’s workshops for company members, and provides theatre education programs in public schools.
