Free Concert: The Ciro Hurtado Band at Rosemead Library

The Ciro Hurtado Group is a seven-member ensemble, performing Latin American folk jazz and world music. The group is headed by the renowned Peruvian guitarist and Latin Grammy^® nominee Ciro Hurtado and showcases the rhythms and instrumentation from several Latin American countries. At the heart and soul of their performances is Ciro’s guitar work, characterized as passionate, melodic, global, and transformative. Original works written by Ciro evoke motifs, landscapes, and exciting elements of South American styles and rhythms. Ciro also performs solo guitar, which he combines with storytelling about Peruvian culture and folklore.
