The Digital Marketing Intern position at Film Independent is an opportunity for someone interested in working in digital marketing (inclusive of web, e-mail, social and visual marketing, and content creation activities) and seeking experience through the lens of a nonprofit arts organization that champions independent film and a growing community of storytellers and film enthusiasts we support. The candidate will work approximately 25-30 hours a week from October through February. The schedule may include some nights and weekends to be discussed ahead of events that require it.
Applicants should possess previous digital marketing experience (web and social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Letterboxd), specifically researching, creating, and or contributing content for social media marketing purposes. Basic photography, videography, and nonlinear editing skills. Knowledge of Sony 5D camera, Adobe Premiere, iMovie, Photoshop, and prior experience creating content for YouTube or social platforms are a plus. Familiarity with HTML and/or WordPress are a plus. Work on Microsoft Platforms (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and Adobe Creative Cloud also a plus. Past internship or entry-level marketing experience at nonprofit and/or film-related organization/company or marketing agency companies preferred. Applicants must also possess strong organizational and prioritization skills, excellent follow-up and follow-through, attention to detail, be comfortable handling several ongoing tasks, and be a clear communicator and team player.
